Soccer Games

Soccer scales down better than almost any sport. A penalty shootout is already a complete game in itself, and arcade versions with two wobbly players per side capture more of the real thing than they have any right to. The matches here run short, several put you in goal rather than on the ball, and none of them require you to learn a control scheme first.
