About Merge Royal 2048
The 2048 merge rule applied to stacks of cards rather than a grid, which changes the problem in a way that took me a few rounds to appreciate. You are not sliding a whole board at once; you are moving one stack onto another and living with where that leaves everything else. That makes it far easier to paint yourself into a corner, and far more satisfying when a single move sets off a chain of merges you actually planned. No timer, so the pressure is entirely self-inflicted.
How to Play
- Drag with the left mouse button to move cards from one stack to another.
- Two cards of the same value merge into the next one up.
- Keep your highest cards on one side - splitting them strands both.
- The board fills when you run out of legal moves, so plan an escape route.
