A duck, a locked house, and a key hanging on a rope somewhere out of easy reach — every level is a variation on that arrangement. You walk the duck around the scene looking for the key that opens the way forward, and the puzzle is normally about how to get to it rather than where it is, since it tends to be suspended, blocked or sitting above you. Solutions are physical rather than abstract: reach it, knock it loose, or find the route that puts you level with it. The door opens once the key is yours.
